THE POWER OF 3 & the Week 4 Approved Food List

This is something I heard recently and have been trying to implement myself. It deals with the power of three.

How will a food affect you in…

  • 3 minutes
  • 3 hours
  • 3 days
  • 3 weeks
  • 3 months
  • 3 years…

Most sweets/treats are great for those first 3 minutes. 3 hours later you may be feeling the effects of the sugars and processed ingredients (bloating, gas, tiredness, drop in mood, cravings for more!!! etc.), or even be feeling guilty about your choices, which can lead to defeating self-talk.

Now project that choice out. If you had that “treat” everyday for 3 days… or weeks… or months…  or years, what would your health and weight look like at the end of that time period? Would it be worth those handful of minutes where everything was great?

Take 3 seconds and consider your food choices BEFORE they actually go in your mouth.

Be mindful of your choices and you will see significant changes in your health and well being.
